Language, formats and appearance

Language, formats and appearance in Beyond.

Set up the display of your data in Settings → General. These are personal preferences: changing your language or date format does not change a colleague’s settings.

Language and formats

Choose Russian or English, a full-date format, number format, timezone and first day of the week. Each selection saves automatically without a separate Save button. Language changes apply immediately. A language switch is also available before sign-in; after sign-in, your account preference takes precedence.

The default timezone is UTC. It affects displayed event times and dates derived from timestamps. Changing it does not move previously recorded work to a neighbouring day: a time entry’s stored work date keeps its meaning. The first weekday affects calendar views, including the timesheet.

Interface language and document language are separate. A workspace manager selects the invoice document language in Invoicing → Defaults. Invoice and appendix PDFs use that setting; report PDFs use the requesting person’s language. Numbers and dates in PDFs follow the generating person’s formatting preferences. CSV uses neutral formatting suitable for processing, rather than the interface’s visual number format.

Device preferences

Open Appearance and choose Light, Dark or Match system, then Full width or Centered page width. You can also toggle Beyond’s context menu here. Changes apply immediately and stay on this device, so configure a second computer separately.

Appearance and formatting are available on every plan. These settings change presentation rather than recalculating amounts, rates or durations. See Settings and commands.
