Notifications and popups

Notifications and popups in Beyond.

The bell collects significant events for you personally. It differs from Activity: ordinary time-entry editing and every action you perform do not become permanent notifications.

Read and configure

Open the bell, select a message and follow its available record link. Mark one message or all messages read. The badge counts unread items. Settings inside the bell apply to your account rather than every teammate.

Each category has independent Inbox notifications and Pop-up notifications switches. Enable the inbox first; popups are unavailable without it. A popup is an in-app message rather than system Web Push. These controls do not enable email notifications or Web Push.

Seven categories

  • Subscription: assignments, extensions, expiry and significant package changes.
  • Smart checks: newly relevant checks needing attention.
  • Team: joining, leaving, role changes, money visibility and access changes.
  • Project: assignments and significant changes to accessible projects.
  • Billing: invoice transitions and client-portal events.
  • Security: external password resets, session revocation and support-session starts/ends.
  • Operations: significant completed operations, such as another manager’s import.

Who receives messages

Subscription, invoice, portal and management-operation messages are for owners and administrators. A Member’s money flag does not unlock them. Project messages require current access. Routine own actions are suppressed to avoid duplicating the operation’s immediate feedback.

After removal or freezing, a personal access-change notice may remain readable without the inaccessible workspace title or link. The bell remains available even with no accessible workspaces. Following an old notification cannot restore lost permissions.

Turning off notifications does not disable workspace-state updates between tabs. A manager configures the underlying smart checks separately; your personal switches only control delivery to you.
