Timesheet

Use the timesheet to enter daily project totals.

Use the timesheet to enter daily project totals. Open Time → Timesheet, then choose Week or Month. The span preference is remembered, but a fresh visit without a specific position opens the current week or month.

Week and month

Week mode places projects in rows and days in columns. Month mode has a project tab and a calendar of daily cells. Both modes share project order. For arbitrary periods, use Reports.

Open a cell and enter the intended total duration. Enter, Space or F2 starts editing; Enter commits and Escape cancels. Delete/Backspace clears an eligible cell. Check the saved total afterwards.

Keyboard navigation

Arrow keys move focus between existing cells. Home/End selects the first or last cell in a row; Ctrl/⌘ + Home/End selects the first or last cell in the entire grid. PageUp/PageDown selects the first or last cell in the current column, rather than switching the month or week.

In the monthly calendar, horizontal movement can wrap to the neighbouring week row. In the weekly timesheet it stops at the row boundary. Use the editing keys above to enter or confirm a duration.

Several source entries

One cell can contain several entries. Increasing its total grows the earliest entry. Decreasing removes time from the earliest first, then continues through later entries. Entries are never consolidated into one. If the decrease would delete a record carrying description or tags, a confirmation warns about losing metadata. Metadata-free records can disappear without that warning. Use the list when a particular entry needs correction.

Repeat last week

Copy structure adds last week’s projects without hours. Copy entries creates new records seven days later, preserving duration, description and tags. Invoice-locked entries are skipped when copying records, but their projects can still seed the structure. Check copied local start times when crossing a daylight-saving transition.

Invoice locks retain restrictions on underlying records. Published and Changed markers refer to client snapshots, rather than payment status; see Publication.

Ordinary timesheets have no paid feature requirement. Members work with their own hours; selecting another author does not itself grant editing rights.

Pro and above

Owners and Admins can see weekly meters and monthly limit strips. These highlight usage and never prevent recording work.
