Invitations, members and seats
Invitations, members and seats in Beyond.
In Settings → Members, owners and administrators invite people, change access and manage seats. Members can read the team directory without management actions. Multiple active participants require a Pro or Business seat package.
Team with more than one person:Pro and aboveInvite someone
- Select Invite member and enter their email, role and money visibility.
- In the next step, choose active projects or explicitly skip assignment.
- Create the invitation, copy its link and deliver it to the recipient yourself.
No automatic email is sent. The recipient chooses their own name and password or signs in to an existing account with the matching email. A manager does not create a global account with a temporary password. Pending invitations are listed and can be reissued or revoked. Reissuing preserves selected projects; deleted or archived projects are skipped when the invitation is accepted. Existing membership is not duplicated.
How seats are used
An active member or open, unexpired invitation uses a seat. The owner is included in member usage. Free and Starter have one seat; Pro packages support up to 50 and Business up to 500. A plan does not itself grant people permissions: role and money visibility are configured separately.
If no seat is free, inviting opens an explanation and package options. Revoke an unnecessary invitation, remove someone or freeze their membership to release capacity.
Freeze and remove
A frozen person uses no seat and cannot access the workspace. Their personal account and historical entries remain. Unfreezing requires a free seat. They stay in historical author filters with a frozen label but are excluded from new project-assignment choices. Removing someone deletes membership rather than their personal account.
See plans for package changes. Project assignments affect a Member’s ability to work on those projects; access to colleagues’ time follows the role rules.
