Time entries
A time entry records actual work for a project on a particular day.
A time entry records actual work for a project on a particular day. Beyond uses manual entry: describe the work, check its duration and save it.
Record work
- Open Time and add an entry. Starting from a project page provides project context.
- Choose the project and date, then enter a duration. Add a start time when useful.
- Add a description and tags so you can find and explain the work later.
- Review any available rate information and save.
The same record appears in the list, calendar and timesheet. These are views of the same actual work. A private plan is different; see Planning. Fixed-price project entries add hours without creating hourly revenue.
Change an entry
Open an entry or its ⋯ menu to edit, inspect history or request deletion. Context menus provide the same actions. Use the list for individual inline corrections, or the timesheet when adjusting daily totals.
Entries linked to an invoice have a lock. Unavailable actions explain why, and locked entries cannot be deleted. Do not try to change an issued document by changing its source hours; see Invoices for the document workflow.
Ordinary manual tracking has no paid feature requirement. Members work with their own entries; access to another person’s work follows workspace roles and the selected context. Money visibility is a separate permission and does not provide access to team invoices. See Rates for inherited pricing and historical amounts.
Before saving, check the project and stored date as well as duration: those determine where the work appears in reports and monthly usage.
