Private planning

Private planning separates intended work from completed work.

Private planning separates intended work from completed work. It helps compare future workload with actuals without inflating tracked hours, earnings or client-facing data.

Plan hours

Choose a project and date, or an inclusive date range, in the planning form. Enter the planned duration and save. The plan belongs to you, with one personal total per project and date. All calendar days are valid, including weekends.

Open the plan-versus-actual comparison to inspect coverage. Potential hours use the greater of planned and actual duration separately for each project and date. Extra work on one project therefore does not fulfil another project’s plan. Actual work without a plan also contributes to potential hours.

Record actual work

Use Record actual after completing the work. This creates ordinary entries authored by you and leaves the plan intact. If actual time already exists, deliberately choose between topping up to the planned amount and adding the whole plan on top of existing work. Check the current total before confirming to avoid duplicate hours.

Money and visibility

For hourly work, potential money retains actual recorded earnings and prices uncovered planned minutes using current project or client terms. Unknown pricing makes the comparison incomplete. Currencies remain separate. Fixed-price projects contribute planned hours without estimating future milestone revenue.

Private comparison panels on Dashboard, Insights and Reports do not alter actual report totals or exported data. Client publication works with actual entries. Use the timesheet to edit completed work. Your private plans are separate from other members’ actual work and are not a shared team assignment calendar.
